Brandwidth Group have acquired ecommerce specialist Williams Commerce (WCL) and B2B ecommerce platform Cloudfy.

WCL is headquartered in the UK with 120 staff and international offices in New York, Australia, India and Singapore. Cloudfy provides integration and specialised B2B capabilities for global organisations.

WCL and Cloudfy will continue under the leadership of Rob Williams, founder and chief executive. As part of the deal, the two businesses will also keep their names and independent specialisms.

Rob Williams will work closely with Brandwidth Group founder and chief executive Jason Jones. WCL and Cloudfy clients include Ping, Moet Hennessey, BMW, RNIB, Royal Botanical Gardens Head of Programme Kew, The National Gallery and UPS.

Jason Jones said: “We saw an instant fit with Rob and the WCL and Cloudfy teams, and we’re fortunate to be welcoming their remarkable talents to our group as we broaden and deepen our commerce offering.

“Our mission is to empower the world’s best brands to supercharge their martech, creating incredible digital experiences that deliver growth and enduring competitive advantage, and WCL’s knowledge and experience in enterprise ecommerce transformation are of immense value to the brands that we work with.”

The two businesses help to grow brands online through Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Cloudfy, Shopify, Drupal, Microsoft Dynamics, digital experience design, performance marketing and enterprise software.

Williams added: “[Brandwidth Group’s] goals and ethos are perfectly aligned with ours and the Brandwidth Group model enables us to retain the independent focus that’s helped us create the award-winning commerce experiences that we’re known for.

“Now, as part of a much larger global team, we can offer complete digital customer experience London (Greater) capabilities to our clients at scale on a world stage. That’s a compelling vision for our clients and for us, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.”

Brandwidth Group’s acquisition of WCL and Cloudfy follows its 2022 purchase of social media shop Cubaka and its merger with Mighty Social.
